We process personal data based on:
- Your consent, for example when you contact us, and for non essential cookies and marketing technologies when you accept them.
- Steps prior to entering into a contract, when you request information or a quotation.
- Compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies, analytics and advertising
We only use non essential cookies and similar technologies when you have provided consent through our cookie settings.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how the website is used and to improve it.
If you accept marketing cookies, we use Meta tools (the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API) for advertising measurement and remarketing. For information on how Meta uses personal data when you give consent, see Meta's Privacy Policy.
You can change your cookie choices at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

We currently use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (secure storage of enquiries, hosted in the EU), Google Workspace (email), Cloudflare (anti-spam protection), Sentry (technical error monitoring, hosted in the EU) and, only with your consent, PostHog (analytics, EU) and Meta (advertising).
- Professional advisers when needed.
- Public authorities, courts or law enforcement where required by law.
Where service providers process data on our behalf, they act as processors under a contract.
International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and additional measures where required.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
For enquiries, we generally keep your data for the time needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards to manage follow ups, unless a longer period is required by law or you become a client.

You have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, contact us at legal@expatabogados.com.
